In 2003, the Town of Harrison adopted the Harrison Waterfront Redevelopment Plan with a goal to revitalize the existing industrial area with transit-oriented development that includes residential, retail and commercial uses. Part of the Plan was the replacement of the existing PATH Harrison Station, which was approaching the end of its useful life. The station replacement will meet the anticipated increase in ridership resulting from the development projects in the Town of Harrison, as well as an increased ridership on PATH. Additionally, their replacement will support future 10-car PATH operation on the Newark to World Trade Center PATH service line.
TCT prepared construction cost estimates during the design and contract documents phases based on the final contract drawings and specifications. The estimates were also prepared in accordance with the Port Authority’s “Construction Estimating Guide”. The BIM model was used, as required, to generate material quantity take-offs to support the cost estimate.
